# About Johnny

I'm Johnny Maguire. I set up AI bot teams for owner-led small businesses, then hand them over for the owner to run.

I've spent my career in data-heavy businesses, including payments, gift cards and events. The lesson each time was the same. Automation sticks when someone owns it and a person signs off what matters. That's how I build bots. Every bot gets a written brief and starts on drafts. You stay in charge.

I run my own business on bots too, and I write about it every week in The XAI-Files, failures included.

## How I work

- Use what you already pay for.
- Write it down. Every bot has a brief you can read.
- Drafts first. You approve anything that goes out.
- Plain English, no jargon.

I also take on some fractional DPO and data leadership work. If that's what you need, say so in the message box on the [contact page](https://johnnymaguire.com/contact?hsLang=en).

## The XAI-Files

One short email a week about running a small business on bots. What my own bots did, and what broke along the way.
